Angelino C.G. Viceisza, Ph.D., Professor of Economics at Spelman College, has been named as a key member of The Board for International and Agricultural Development’s (BIFAD) Subcommittee on Systematic Solutions for Climate Change Adaption and Mitigation in Agricultural, Nutrition, and Food Systems.
This inaugural subcommittee — formed by BIFAD and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) — emerged as President Biden’s response to the current global food security crisis. This subcommittee has been tasked with coming together to gather evidence-based solutions to fast-track USAID’s role in tackling the climate crisis, while transforming food systems.
