
During her matriculation at Spelman, economics major Kiara Grimstead, maintained a GPA of 3.85 and was also inducted into three honors societies -- the Golden Key Honor Society, Omicron Delta Economic Honor Society, and Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. She was inducted into the
Ethel Waddell Githii Honors program when she arrived at Spelman and has been an active member since.
Throughout her experience at Spelman, Grimstead served as a peer tutor and helped many Spelmanites pass their math and economic courses. She was also honored to participate the AUC Data Science Research Program in the summer of 2020.
Grimstead was a financial consulting intern for Ayco, a Goldman Sachs Company and a member of Future Business Leaders of Spelman during her senior year. She says she gets a lot of satisfaction from helping others so throughout her time at Spelman she also volunteered at a non-profit called For Me to You.
Post Graduation Plans
Following graduation, Grimstead will work in Atlanta as a strategy analyst for Deloitte. After gaining work experience, she plans to go to graduate school and obtain her MBA.
