More than a dozen members of the Spelman community participated in a volunteer food drive on Thursday, Nov. 12, at Open Hand Atlanta. Staff and faculty volunteered their afternoon to help group, sort, label and pack more than 150 emergency meal kits, which will be delivered to individuals in need. "It's been said that 'The best way to find yourself, is to find yourself in service,'" said Jilo Tisdale, director of the
Bonner Office of Community Service and Student Development. "We hope that students, faculty and staff will make volunteering a year-round endeavor."
