May 2018

Nautica JacobsNautica L. Jacobs was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and chose to attend Spelman because of its demonstrated commitment to preparing and nurturing Black women as scholars, activists and change agents.

In addition, she was the recipient of the Spelman College Dewitt Dean’s Scholarship and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Alpha Delta, Phi Sigma Tau, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and Alpha Lambda Delta. She also was selected to participate in the College's Women of Excellence Leadership Series.
