Panelist: The Demystification of Black Women’s Bodies: In Search of Health Equity in an Era of Racism, Sexism and Gender Discrimination

Vonda R. Ware graduated from Spelman College with a degree in biology/minor in Biochemistry. She received a medical degree with from the Medical College of Georgia and completed her residency in OB/GYN at Emory University School of Medicine. Specializing in the care of women from young adults to menopause is her love and passion. As a mentee of medical students, residents, and her beloved Spelman sisters, Ware shares and teaches excellence in women’s healthcare.

Traveling, reading, and speaking on medicine and ministry are some of her hobbies and interests. Married to the love of her life, Dr. Roderick L. Ware, senior pastor of Empowered Life Church, for 24 years, they are the proud parents of two daughters, Kara and Jadyn. Jadyn is currently in her first year at Spelman.
