What You'll Learn

Upon completion of the certificate, students will be able to:

  • Describe core concepts related to data for decision making such as collection, management, and application of data.

  • Analyze and forecast financial statements, ratio analysis, Time Value of Money Techniques, and valuation of security instruments.

  • Communicate the results of financial analysis effectively.

  • Explain the foundational concepts of data and data analytics, identify different types of data, and recognize the value of making business-defining decisions using data and data analytics.

This certificate program is designed to be accessible for those with or without college experience and to give students in-demand career skills while also earning credits that can be applied towards a degree.

The Business Essentials Certificate consists of two eight-week courses for a total of six credit hours. Both courses are offered online only and are self-paced.
