To become a member of the Spelman College Glee Club, an audition is required. Auditions for the Glee Club will take place during New Student Orientation prior to the start of classes in the fall semester. The audition is an evaluation process that provides an opportunity for each student to demonstrate performance ability. All candidates will be examined for tonal memory, ability to match pitch and vocal quality. Vocal range may be determined in the audition as well. Though ability to read music is not required, sight-singing ability may also be evaluated. Candidates will be notified of acceptance prior to the first rehearsal.
