U.S. State Department Selects Senior to Fill Campus Coordinator Position

Jasmine McClam - LSThis academic year, Jasmine McClam, C’2020, will serve as a Foreign Affairs Campus Coordinator. The job is part of the United States Department of State Foreign Affairs Campus Coordinator Program. The mission of the FACC is to establish outreach partnerships with colleges and universities throughout the country to better inform the academic community about U.S. foreign policy priorities.

An international studies and Spanish double major, McClam became familiar with the program after spending a summer interning in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. McClam is one of 18 campus coordinators based on 17 college campuses across the nation. “By being a campus coordinator, I hope to show my classmates how internships with a foreign affairs focus can be accessible for all majors,” she said.
