Spelman Class of 1892

Annual Giving

The Road to June 30

For this final campaign of our fiscal year 2020, we're challenging each of our main regions - the Northeast, South Central & Southeast, Western & Far West, and the Great Lakes - to compete based on participation rates!
When you make a gift, of any amount, not only are you contributing to Spelman's mission, but you're also increasing our alumnae donor participation rate, which impacts our rankings by showing the world that our alumnae support us.
The region that reaches the highest participation rate this month wins! Represent your region, and show your Spelman spirit by supporting your alma mater today!

For us to remain Spelman strong, we need your help!

A Special Salute to the Class of 2020

Congratulations to the Spelman College Class of 2020

Congratulations to all of our graduating seniors. The Class of 2020 is the embodiment of the perseverance, tenacity, dedication, leadership and empowerment that Spelman strives to inspire in all of our students. We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved over the past four years in the face of obstacles and challenges. Despite their final year being abruptly interrupted, our seniors have remained undaunted and successfully completed their academic courses. They have worked so hard to earn their degrees, and although their commencement ceremonies have been postponed, we celebrate them now. Please enjoy learning about a few of our brilliant graduates:

Isabelle Saint-Jean, C’2020

May 2020

Isabelle Seant-JeanIsabelle Mona Saint-Jean is from a place where the sun does not stop shining -- Miami, Florida. The international studies major serves as the female mentorship director for Collegiate 100, Atlanta Chapter. Upon graduation, Saint-Jean plans to obtain a Masters in Management at a Grande Ecole in Paris, France.

To her Spelman sisters, Saint-Jean said, "Like many of you, I am able to walk on water. Being raised by Haitian immigrants, it was rare to find pre-made platforms to walk on. With the vision of building a dynasty, I needed to not waste time looking for platforms. Instead, I became the minority in every great setting. The leader in over 3,000 hours of community engagement, and I have had at least one internship a year for the past seven years (all government or corporate)."

She added, "With backgrounds like ours, we must be the impossibility in impossible."

Every Woman...Every Year History

In 2006, Spelman College launched the Every Woman… Every Year! campaign to increase Alumnae participation and the support of EVERY alumna EVERY year. Over the last 10 years, our alumnae participation rate has doubled, helping Spelman remain the No. 1 HBCU since the campaign launch. This year our goal is 35% alumnae participation and we cannot reach this goal without YOU.
