Tiana Smith will join Deloitte as a business technology analyst

Tiana SmithChula Vista, California native Tiana Smith, C'2018, will join Deloitte & Touche as a business technology analyst in the company’s Atlanta office.

"There is no doubt in my mind that Spelman has fully prepared me to excel at a Fortune 500 company among some of the most talented individuals, she said. Spelman has taught me to think outside the box, to step outside my comfort zone, and to take advantage of every opportunity that comes my way," Smith said.

Graduating with a 3.9 grade point average, one of the class of 2018's top 10 graduates, Smith earned a full tuition scholarship to attend Spelman. She was on the Dean’s list all four years, and was an active member of the Ethel Githii Honors Program. In addition, she was on the Pulse Programming Board where she held the position of homecoming director her senior year.  She was also a part of the Omicron Epsilon Economics Honor Society, Alpha Lambda Delta, WEL Scholars, Morehouse Business Association, and a Protégé’ mentor.  

One of her goals is to start an organization for children whose parents are incarcerated. She will provide them with a strong emotional and educational foundation that will prepare them to be successful in all their future endeavors.

“There is not a day that goes by that I don't thank Spelman for making me the woman I am today,” said Smith.
