April 2018

Spelman Alumna Brittany MosbyBrittany L. Mosby, C’2007, became the director of HBCU Success for the Tennessee Higher Education Commission on January 3. In the newly created position, she oversees key operational services to strengthen the capacity of Tennessee’s seven historically Black institutions, including programming that helps institutions improve performance and student outcomes.

She is also planning a “listening tour” with leadership at each campus to glean information that will be used to develop a needs-based policy agenda.

Mosby received an B.A. from Spelman, an M.S. from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University.
