Spelman’s Master Classes are designed to bring exposure, insight, and a behind-the-scenes look into various career industries, professional skills, and aspects of overall wellness needed to succeed in today’s world.
The Master Classes bring industry professionals up close and personal with Spelmanites. There are panel and small group discussions and activities that allow students to learn more about entering and flourishing in their chosen career paths while maintaining overall wellness. Whether students are considering graduate/professional school opportunities or entering directly into a career, by participating in the Master Classes, Spelmanites will have a competitive edge.
These are the types of Master Classes you can expect each academic year.
The Fragrance Foundation (TFF) will join BROWN GIRL Jane to present a Master Class. BROWN GIRL Jane comprises three Spelmanites – Malaika Jones, Tai Beauchamp, and Nia Jones – and Sharné Jackson is the executive director of TFF and is also a Spelmanite.
The event will start with a convocation at 11 a.m. and will be followed by a meet, greet, and networking event in the Suites Private Dining Room at noon.
Linda Levy will also join us for the event and will be featured on Good Day Atlanta that morning, interviewing about Fragrance Day, which will be held March 21, 2024, at Spelman.

On Tuesday, March 21, from 6 - 8 p.m., the Spelman community was invited to explore roles in collegiate athletics, professional sports and entertainment with industry leaders.
Previous Spelman Pathways Women in Sports Master Class panelists include experts from organizations such as: Ashley S. Green Consulting, the Atlanta Dream, National Basketball Assocation, The Playbook, the National Football League, Overtime, Warner Brothers, WRK and Spelman College. The event will take place in the Manley Student Center Atrium.
