School Acceptances: Case Western Reserve University Master of Science in Medical Physiology
Future Aspirations: Aliecia Bouligny, C'2019, will be graduating with honors in May with a BS in Health Science and continuing her education in at Case Western Reserve University. After receiving her MS, she plans to go to medical school. Bouligny aspires to become a family physician back in her hometown. Motivated by her family's struggles with GYN cancer, Bouligny desires to research diseases that disproportionately affect Black women. She is excited to build lifelong connections with her future patients and with people in her community.
While at Spelman: During Bouligny’s matriculation at Spelman College, she has served as the President of the Health Careers Club and Community Service Director for Sisters Keeping it Real Through Service (SKIRTS). She has done women's health research at Louisiana State University, Mayo Clinic, and Meharry Medical College. While at Mayo Clinic, she co-authored a peer- reviewed manuscript entitled "Dose-Response Association of CD8+ Tumor-Infiltrating Lymphocytes and Survival Time in High-Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer" that was published in the Journal of the American Association Oncology.
Hobbies: Bouligny enjoys cooking, crafting, and painting.
