Fall 2021 Path Forward

Expectations of Visitors and Vendors

Visitors and vendors are prohibited from being on campus if they have tested positive for COVID-19 within the past two weeks, are exhibiting signs or symptoms of illness of COVID-19 or were in close contact to someone confirmed to have COVID-19.

Protocols for Coming to Campus

AlertMask must be worn and physical distancing adhered to at all times while on campus.

All visitors and vendors, regardless of vaccination status, must complete the following steps in order to gain access to Spelman's campus.

Step 1 - Request Access to Campus

All visitors and vendors must request access to campus at least 10 days in advance of arrival by emailing dmack9@spelman.edu the following information:

  • Full Name
  • Full Address
  • Email Address
  • Phone Number
  • Date & Time of Arrival

STEP 2 - Submit Proof of Negative COVID Test

Visitors and vendors, regardless of vaccination status, must provide proof of a negative PCR COVID test prior to arrival. Tests results should be emailed to dmack9@spelman.edu. NOTE: DO NOT CC anyone on that email.

If you do not have a testing location already, you can find a location and make an appointment at CVS or Walgreens.

Step 3 - Arrive on Campus

Once you are cleared to come to campus, please arrive 30 minutes ahead of schedule in order to take a RAPID test on campus, which will take approximately 20 minutes.

Upon arriving, inform the Public Safety Officer that you are on campus for an event (or state the reason for your visit), and the public safety officer will verify ID.

Next, report directly to BDT Suites Private Dining Room for the RAPID test and remain in the testing waiting area until you receive results.

Once you receive your negative results, you may move about campus. If your test result is positive, you are to leave the campus immediately, and Desiree Mack, Manager of Benefits, will follow-up via a phone call with further instructions.
