3. Focuses on improving pedagogy & student learning – and support faculty development and scholarship

4. Focuses on how we are preparing our students for the world beyond Spelman 

5. Builds on existing & ongoing self-evaluation processes

6. Explicitly evaluates program strengths/weaknesses

7. Makes continuous improvement a priority

8. Produces findings & recommendations that the program/department/division/college can address & supports long tern institutional planning
