Soul Sister Circle

3 p.m. | Sister Soul Circle - Holiday Crafts & DIY
This event has been canceled.

These days, it's easy to find just about any type of holiday decoration at your local store, but it's so much more fun to put your personality and design style into your home. One of the best ways to do this is with DIY Holiday crafts. Please join us as we create our own sugar scrub and ornaments and share demo’s on how to craft a wreath and decorating a tree. And because DIY means affordable, many of the Holiday crafts we suggest make use of common household items you already own. Hosted by the Office of Alumnae Engagement.

Tamika Harris Brown, C’98: DIY Sugar Scrub
Joslyn Jackson, C’96: DIY Ornaments
Sophia Huger Baldwin, C’2000: DIY Holiday Wreaths
Ashley Dixon, C’2008: How to decorate a tree

Christmas Carol Concert 2019

7:30 p.m. | Hark the Herald Angels Sing: 94th Annual Spelman – Morehouse Christmas Carol Concert

Join us as the Spelman College and Morehouse College Glee Clubs come together once again to lift their voices in holiday cheer. The annual Christmas Carol Concert is a tradition that has been rousing the Atlanta community for nearly a century. Traditionally, this event would be held in King Chapel at Morehouse College and at Sisters Chapel at Spelman College. Though there will be no in-person performances in light of the current pandemic, the show must go on with a unique virtual experience. This one-hour presentation will be comprised of footage from previous in-person performances from Sisters and King Chapels, virtual choir performances from the current glee clubs from their remote locations, a new recorded organ prelude in Sisters Chapel at Spelman College from college organist, Joyce Johnson, and more.
