Summer Math RaMP

The 2021 Summer Math RaMP Program will support four rising sophomore or junior mathematics majors to conduct research over the course of seven weeks: June 1--July 16, 2021. Summer Math RaMP Scholars will work under the supervision and mentorship of Dr. Enahoro Iboi, assistant professor, Department of Mathematics, on modeling population-level impacts of the novel Coronavirus outbreak in the United States. 

Summer Math RaMP Scholars will receive a stipend of $4950 for the seven-week program.
The 2021 Summer Math RaMP Program is generously supported by the MAA NREUP Program.

National Research Experience for Undergraduates Program (NREUP)


Program Dates:  June 1, 2021- July 16, 2021

Eligibility:  The Math RaMP Summer Research Program is open to rising sophomore and rising junior mathematics majors with an overall GPA of 3.0 (3.0 in mathematics courses) and who have successfully completed SMAT 231 (Calculus I) and SMAT 200 (Introductory Seminar in Mathematics).

To Apply:  Complete the online application form.  The completed application requires a current resume, unofficial transcript and the names of two mathematics faculty members who can serve as references.

Deadline: The deadline for receipt of completed application is Friday, April 16 at 11:59 PM Eastern.
