About the Chemistry Learning Center

Vision Statement

To provide an additional learning resource in an interactive and collaborative learning environment.

Goals

  • To provide students with focused reinforcement on topics identified by the instructor that promote concept mastery.
  • To empower students to be proactive and responsible for their success.
  • To provide students an opportunity to isolate and concentrate on a difficult concept in the course.

Purpose

To guide students through pre-designed activities that will enhance their mastery of a particular concept by providing:

  • An overview of concepts that will assist the student's understanding of lectures to come
  • An opportunity for in-depth practice of a recently covered topic

To reinforce topics the instructor has identified as being traditionally difficult or requiring deeper exploration.

The Chemistry Learning Center is for you if you . . .

  • Need help balancing your course work and extracurricular activities
  • Desire to learn helpful and effective study strategies
  • Want help setting up your lab reports or need assistance with calculations
  • Seek more opportunities to practice
