Interested in Spelman College TRRC Generative AI Workshop with Jerry Volcy Register for an Upcoming "Blue AI" Lunch and Learn
On Thursday, Aug. 24 at 12:15 p.m., join us for a session on "Preparing Tomorrow ’s Professionals in the Age of Generative AI" facilitated by our Innovation Lab Director, Jerry Volcy. Learn how AI is changing the higher ed landscape and how to best prepare students.
As generative AI transforms the professional landscape, how can educators best equip students for the future? In this interactive workshop, we will consider how technology could reshape the professional workforce -- including the teaching profession-- and what that means for how the academy may need to adapt.
Drawing from the presenter’s own professional experiences, the workshop will challenge attendees to rethink the role of the academy in preparing professionals to enter what could be a vastly different workspace. Workshop attendees will be asked to consider questions that go beyond the immediately apparent challenges posed by AI, thereby starting a forward-thinking conversation on adaptable, ethical and novel pedagogical approaches needed to meet the needs of the coming times. Whether you teach computer science or the humanities, join us as we reimagine higher education in this time of technological change.
