Angelino Viceisza Receives NSF Award

September 2016

Angelino Viceisza
Dr. Angelino Viceisza, assistant professor of economics, has been awarded a two-year grant from the National Science Foundation in the amount of $199,766.

His project entitled, "EAGER:Using Eye Tracking to Study Migrant Remittances and its Welfare Implications,” will allow Dr. Viceisza to study how U.S.-based immigrants compare financial services for sending remittances to their home countries through field experiments and surveys that complement typical economic data with eye tracking.

The EAGER (EArly-concept Grants for Exploratory Research) funding mechanism may be used to support exploratory work in its early stages on untested, but potentially transformative, research ideas or approaches.
