Bria Elayne Paige is a Senior English major, Film & Visual Culture minor at Spelman College, where in the spring she was elected the 77th President of the Spelman Student Government Association (SSGA). Additionally, Bria served as First Year Class Council Vice President, Sophomore Class Council President and SSGA Secretary of Academic Affairs.

Outside of student government, Bria is involved in several other organizations, including the “Sweet” Mu Pi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the English Club, and the Granddaughter’s Club. Academically, Bria is a UNCF Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow, member of the Ethel Waddell Githii Honors Program, Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society, and Alpha Lambda Delta First Year Honor Society.  In April, Bria was inducted into the Epsilon of Georgia, Spelman College Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, the oldest and most prestigious honor society in the country. In June of 2017, Bria was selected as one of four nationwide recipients of Beyoncé Knowles Carter’s Formation Scholarship totaling $25,000 for the 2017-2018 school year.

Bria is currently applying to post-graduate opportunities, including graduate school and jobs. She looks forward to graduating from Spelman on May 19, 2019 and exploring life after Spelman.
