Spelman Hosts HBCU Student Affairs Drive-In Conference

HBCU Drive In Conference On February 23, Spelman College hosted an HBCU Drive-In Conference to discuss the theme of "Spelman College Moving from Crisis Management to Student Success: Fostering a Sense of Belonging, Community, and Wellness."

The conference also hosted Morehouse College, Clark Atlanta University, Morris Brown College, Morehouse School of Medicine, Fort Valley State University, and Albany State University.

Special highlights from the day included various speakers from the Spelman community, such as Jilo Tisdale, the director of the Bonner Office of Civic Engagement; and Neal Scott, the assistant director of wellness, as well as the vice president for student affairs, Darryl Holloman, Ph.D. Additional speakers from the event featured Kevin Kruger, Ph.D., the president of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) and Tim Bono, Ph.D., professor of psychology and brain sciences at Washington University in St. Louis.
