Spelman College Launches First Research Project Under Partnership with Princeton

SpelPrincetonUnder a new partnership with Princeton University, Spelman College faculty and staff are taking part in a project that could inspire more research opportunities between academics at Predominantly White Institutions (PWIs) and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

The project, The Master’s Tools Will Never Dismantle the Master’s House: A Spelman.edu Multimedia Performance, encompasses multiple disciplines and includes the work and insight of the following:

The Heirloom Gardens Project

Whitney Barr, Spelman College, Food Studies Program

The project officially kicked off in September with Spelman’s project to receive funding from Princeton University through its new Princeton Alliance for Collaborative Research and Innovation (PACRI) for two years – up to a maximum of $250,000.
