2021 NAASC Atlanta Chapter Scholars

November 2021

The National Alumnae Association of Spelman College who  is celebrating 106 years of sisterhood, service and scholarship support recently announced its new scholarship recipients. Through financial gifts, student recruitment, sisterhood, community service, acknowledgment of Spelman women, and alumnae growth through leadership opportunities and partnering alliances, the chapter is dedicated to supporting the College's purpose.

Jasmine Wilson 2021 NAASC Atlanta Chapter ScholarJasmine Wilson
Jasmine Wilson is a junior psychology major from Atlanta, Georgia. After graduating from Spelman,  Wilson has her intentions set on changing the lives of our youth as a child forensic psychologist. As a first-generation college student, she is inspired by the new experiences and challenges she has encountered at Spelman and aims to continue to blaze the trail of success for her family and community. 

Tamia Arrington 2021 NAASC Atlanta Chapter ScholarTamia Arrington
Tamia Arrington is a first-year psychology major and is excited about making the choice to attend Spelman College. Upon graduation, she aspires to work in the healthcare industry as a sports medicine physical therapist. A native of Savannah Georgia, Arrington trained as a ballet dancer and led her community through service. In addition to her career in sports medicine, she plans to open a dance studio where she will inspire and mentor young women.

Jordan Parker 2021 NAASC Atlanta Chapter ScholarJordan Parker
Jordan Parker is a senior political science major who aspires to change the world by receiving an advanced degree in Jurisprudence. She hopes to one day instill a sense of community-based advocacy and creativity in the next generation of Black advocates, artists and intellectuals. At Spelman, she hones her leadership skills by serving as the captain and social media director for the Speech and Debate Team and the Culture and is the Arts Awareness Chair for the Spelman Chapter of Girls Going Global Inc.
