Latimore grew up hearing her mother tell stories about the bond of sisterhood cultivated at Spelman College. The Decatur, Georgia native always knew she would follow in her mother’s footsteps and attend the College. Her love of writing and literature led her to become an English major. As a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Latimore served on various committees and on the organization's executive board.
She was an ambassador for the Spelman College Museum of Fine Art, a resident adviser for Abby Hall, and a peer tutor in the Spelman College Writing Center. During the summer before her senior year, she studied abroad in Santiago, Dominican Republic. During her last semester, she interned in brand marketing at Mailchimp.
