May 2019

Kara CobbKara Cobb, a native of Nashville, Tennessee, decided to attend Spelman College after a visit to the institution during her sophomore year of high school. She immediately felt a connection with the campus and knew one day Spelman would become her home.

During her time at Spelman, the sociology major, studied abroad in Ghana and spent a semester away on domestic exchange at Stanford University. A Trials (Training and Recruitment Initiative for Admission to Leading Law Schools) program graduate, she was selected as one of twenty participants out of 2,000 applicants for a partnership with  NYU School of Law, Harvard Law school, and the Advantage Testing Foundation.

“I will forever be grateful for these experiences and countless others Spelman has given me,” said Cobb. She will attend Harvard Law School in the fall. “I am sure Spelman has prepared me for the next chapter of my life.”
