Chasmine Williams Will Pursue a Law Degree and Advocate for the Rights and Equality of all People

Chasmine WilliamsChasmine Williams, C'2019, a native of La Marque, Texas, chose to attend Spelman College because of its strong commitment to the education and development of Black women.

A political science major, Williams was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and participated in various campus organizations including the Spelman Ambassadors Program and Peer Assistant Leader Program. She was the secretary for the Senior Class Council, a 2019 Women of Excellence in Leadership Series graduate, a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society and the Ethel Waddell Githii Honors Program.

After graduation, Williams will pursue a Juris Doctorate at The University of Texas and hopes to become the Attorney General of the United States. She will use her power to tear down institutional systems of oppression while advocating for the rights and equality of all people.
