Alumna Setting Her Sights on Entrepreneurism Through International Business Academy

July 2018

Danielle RobinsonDanielle Robinson, C’2018, sees her participation in the European Innovation Academy as a chance to learn and prepare. For three weeks, Robinson, along with 300-plus young and aspiring entrepreneurs from around the globe, are in Turin, Italy, to learn the components of business development.

“Throughout the program, students are exposed to everything from brainstorming to conceptualization to pitching to potential investors,” said Robinson.

“From this trip, I expect to gain a better understanding of how to grow a successful business while also creating a network to help in my success.”

Robinson is attending the academy along with two students from Morehouse. According to Tiffany Bussey, DBA, director of the Morehouse College Entrepreneurship Center, this is the first time an HBCU has participated since the academy began 15 years ago.

“To prepare future leaders, we must expose our students to a global environment for diversity of thought and understanding,” said Dr. Bussey.
