Attorney Stephanie St. Louis Stone Makes Physics and Law a Winning Combination

Stephanie St. LouisStephanie St. Louis Stone, C’2002, is combining her love for physics and law into a career she thoroughly enjoys. The Florida native graduated from Spelman with a degree in physics, obtained a law degree in 2005 from Boston College Law School, and was subsequently admitted to the Florida Bar upon her return home. 

In addition to her physics experience, St. Louis Stone also participated in the study abroad program in the Dominican Republic and further improved her Spanish while interning at Juzgados de lo Penal, a criminal court in Madrid, Spain. Her international reach was expanded when she participated in an internship at the United Nation’s International Criminal Tribunal for the former country, Yugoslavia.

St. Louis Stone is currently the chief compliance officer at the Orlando Housing Authority and focuses primarily on fair housing and compliance related matters in subsidized housing. She is a member of the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, and served on the Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee of the Florida Bar. She attributes her strong research, writing and analytical skills to her experience in the Spelman College physics department.
