Michelle Proctor Rogers Marries Her Love for Theater and Law

 Michelle Proctor RogersMichelle Proctor Rogers, vice president and associate general counsel, Business and Legal Affairs at BET Networks, graduated from Spelman College in 1991. She received a scholarship to attend Spelman and while a student, she received the Bertie award for “Best Lead Actress” in Atlanta theater.

Upon graduation, Rogers went on to earn a MFA degree in acting from the University of Pittsburgh where she received a teaching fellowship. She is also a graduate of the University of Maryland Law School where she was awarded “Best Moot Court Oral Advocate.”

She is now a member of the Maryland Bar, BESLA, NAMIC and the National Bar Association.  She is an empowerment life coach and serves on the advisory board of Cultural Communications, a not for profit organization committed to nurturing teenagers in the Washington, D.C. area.  Rogers is also a reading mentor with Everybody Wins!
