Noelle LeVeaux, C'94, Wants to Be Your Wake-up Call

17430dcSpelman alumna Noelle LeVeaux, C'94, admits she has a lot to be thankful for in life. An award-winning marketing and branding expert, she is currently  chief marketing officer of the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau. She was also honored by as one of the 50 top travel marketers in the world.

With two beautiful daughters, a degree in mathematics from Spelman, a TEDx Talk, a published children's book (I Miss You When I Sleep), a not-for-profit organization, and over 20 years of management experience in communications, public relations, marketing and advertising, LeVeaux has the ability to excel in any business environment and deliver above and beyond results for any professional challenge.

The Consummate Executive

As seasoned professional, the Deerfield, Illinois native is responsible for planning and executing a complete public relations and marketing program as well as developing and managing a new brand strategy for the Bureau. In 2012, she launched the "BIG Campaign" to rebrand Dallas. The successful campaign won several awards including the DFW American Marketing Association Marketer of the Year in Branding and a regional Addy for Integrated Campaigns.

Prior to joining the organization, LeVeaux served as interim vice president and senior director of public affairs for Children's Medical Center in Dallas where she was responsible for advertising, media relations, brand and clinical marketing, marketing events, web marketing and emerging strategies.

The Wake-up Call

Recently, cancer changed the highly respected marketing executive's  life -- for good. She says you would think being diagnosed with breast cancer would open one's eyes and help her realize what’s important in life, but it took more than that to wake up this single working mom. A Single Mom Committed to Living Her 'Best Day Ever' Every Day

Noelle LeaveauxNow LeVeaux is focused on living her best day ever -- every day -- and living with intent. She is a member of several community organizations including the North Texas Leadership Council for the American Lung Association and the women's auxiliary partnership of Community Partners of Dallas. LeVeaux is actively involved at Fellowship Church Plano where she teaches Sunday school to second and third graders.

LeVeaux is also sharing what her experience has taught her through her blog: Confessions of a Single Mom with Cancer.
