    Spelman Receives $1 Million HHMI Grant to Support Science Education

    ATLANTA, (June 14, 2012) -- Spelman College has been selected to receive a four-year, $1 million grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute to support undergraduate science education, create more engaging science classes, bring real-world research experiences to students, and increase diversity among students who study science.

    Spelman Goes 'Mad': College Vies for Social Madness Crown

    Jun 08, 2012

    Spelman College is going mad! Competing to be one of three social media national champions in the Social Madness competition, the College is vying to win a $10,000. On Tuesday, June 18, the College will learn if it made it to Round 1, with survivors going into a head-to-head, bracket-style competition-described by The Business Journals as "the social-media version of the National Football League's draft, minicamp and exhibition season rolled into one."
