The Thurgood Marshall Institute at the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, will host a discussion in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the 14th Amendment. The discussion features two leading voices on race:
Sherrilyn Ifill, president and director-counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, and author of "On the Courthouse Lawn: Confronting the Legacy of Lynching in the Twenty-First Century."
Melissa Harris-Perry, Maya Angelou Presidential Chair at Wake Forest University, founding director of the Anna Julia Cooper Center, editor-at-large, ELLE.com and author of "Sister Citizen: Shame, Stereotypes, and Black Women in America."
