As cases of COVID-19 continue to climb across the country and around the world, we know this pandemic disproportionately effects communities of color. This second session of the Center of Excellence for Minority Women in STEM’s Women in STEM Speaker Series will feature a panel of phenomenal Spelman alumnae scientists discussing the importance of continued engagement with and advocacy for communities of color.
Each panelist will bring their expert perspective to the COVID-19 pandemic as we discuss vaccine development and dissemination, translating scientific information for the mainstream, and the responsibility many Black scientists feel regarding their communities.
The panel will be moderated by Center of Excellence Director Tamara Pearson, Ph.D., C'96.
