On Tuesday, October 15, Spelman College welcomes the Women of Color FashTech Workshop, sponsored by AT&T! This workshop series inspires the young women of tomorrow’s tech-focused industries to seize every opportunity ahead in e-commerce, retail, media and telecommunications. Featured presenters, WOCFTB co-founders Brittany Hicks and Jessica Couch, chat with AT&T senior leaders LaKendra D. Davis and Angela Baskerville, C'87, to bring an experienced perspective and in-depth industry conversation that students will not want to miss!

Women of Color FashTech Workshop

Women of Color FashTech came to fruition due to the lack of community and limited opportunities for women at the intersection of technical and creative careers. We believe that community is the foundation of progress, and subsequently, success, and we believe that when women support women, incredible things happen!

The first Women of Color FashTech event was a brunch that took place during New York Fashion Week at the exclusive Ludlow House in SoHo in 2018. The event hosted the top women of color in the fashion and tech industries, celebrating their successes and accomplishments, creating an intimate space for women to discuss their experiences with like-minded people. This fall, WOCFT launched its student workshop series with a focus on HBCU students to prepare them for the future.

This event is open to Spelman College and Clark Atlanta University students. Registration is required via Qualtrics.
