Panelist: Lights, Camera, Action: How Television, Theater and Cinema Portray the State of Healthcare in the Black Community

Jaunice Sills McSwain is senior director, content strategy for E! Entertainment, the only global multiplatform brand for all things pop culture. In her role she develops strategies to deploy marketing content across linear, digital and emerging platforms for popular franchises “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,”“Total Divas,”“Very Cavallari” and “Botched.” Additionally, she markets E!’s live programming initiatives, including E! News, “Live from the Red Carpet” and tentpole coverage of NYFW and Met Gala. Sills was previously vice president, programming & promotion strategy at REVOLT, the music television network she launched with Sean “Diddy”Combs in 2013. In this role, she directed the strategy of all programming content, managed promotion, scheduling and operations. McSwain has also held roles at BET, MTV and Logo.
 
A proud alumna of Spelman College, McSwain graduated with a bachelor's degree in English and minor in management and organization. She is chairwoman of the Black Women Film Network, and for the past several years has served as the executive director of the Black Women Film Summit in Atlanta. McSwain is very passionate about HBCUs, and in 2016 was honored at the White House as a successful HBCU alumni by first lady Michelle Obama’s Better Make Room initiative.
