The 18th Century Restoration time period was full of enlightenment as well as being a time where men were beginning to make changes and have new ways of thinking. They remained in control, but slowly new ideas began to emerge from the 18th century Restoration era. Good Day my fellow visitors!!! My name is Fairren Thompson and I am a junior English major at Spelman College. I have thoroughly enjoyed my 18th century Restoration class (Dr. Niles is seriously an awesome teacher and has made my experience worth while) this semester. One day, I have hopes of becoming a high school English teacher and working with children and teens. I know that in order to exude all the qualities that one needs to become an awesome teacher, one must study many variations of their interest in order to become expert. Normally, 18th century literature would not be my first choice of interest; however, I know that it is necessary to not only my future career as a teacher, but also to the history or English. I have really enjoyed investigating other topics while expanding my knowledge about unfamiliar areas of literature.
