Ever since I was a little child, I always wanted to help people solve their problems. When I first started thinking of what I wanted to do, I thought I wanted to be a psychologist because I was always listening to peoples' problems. But I quickly realized that I would not be interacting a lot and change my goal to becoming a defense lawyer. With this career will satisfy my wants to help people as well as be active in my work.
Defense Lawyer:
A criminal defense lawyer is an attorney that represents an accused party in legal matters, including a court of law. The job of the defense lawyer is to vigorously defend his or her client by using the law to cast doubt on the prosecution's case.
Technology in Law:
You would not think that a lawyer would not need technology,
but actually a lawyer needs a lot of technology. A lawyer needs a computer with
word processor for typing up legal documents, database software to keep up with
clients and their cases and/or verdict. A lawyer also needs access to the
Internet in order to email documents or research from online databases. A lawyer
needs a cell phone and/or a PDA for mobile access on the go. There are a lot
more technology that a lawyer needs but these are the basics.
The Juris Doctorate or JD degree is a law degree that was designed as a replacement or an alternative to its academic equivalent the Bachelor of Laws degree or the LLB. This degree is viewed as being a terminal professional degree. This is the minimum degree, but you can get a high-level degree if you desire.
