Past BIO SIGMAA Events

A new Special Interest Group of the Mathematical Association of America, on Mathematical and Computational Biology, henceforth known as BIO SIGMAA, arrived on the scene at MathFest in August 2006, and online presence was launched two months later.

Our first BIO SIGMAA Business Meeting and Reception took place in January 2007, at the Joint Mathematics Meeting in New Orleans, amid numerous sessions of interest. In particular, BIO SIGMAA was the official sponsor of the three-part MAA session on Integrating Mathematics and Biology in Undergraduate Education.

BIO SIGMAA also endorsed the TIMBER 2006 conference, focusing on undergraduate education and research.
