The monologues, which are done in collaboration with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., will continue on Saturday and Sunday in the Cosby Auditorium at 5 p.m.
Inspired by the Eve Ensler’s play "The Vagina Monologues," this play is a concerted effort to educate our American sisters and brothers about women’s issues while simultaneously raising funds for women who have been victims of violence.
Issues such as women in the Congo, homosexuality, stereotyping, female genital mutilation and more, will be presented in various ways, ranging from the serious to the comical. This play is student written and directed.
Tickets are $3 in advance and $5 at the door. Proceeds will be given to the Panzi hospital in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where Dr. Denis Mukwege treats women who have been ravaged by the war. We invite you to M.O.V.E. with us on this journey in the spirit of the International Spring Festival!
