Parking Program

Public Safety Home

All students, faculty, staff, and visitors are required to pay for parking on the Spelman campus. Parking fees and policies are published annually and are available in the Student Affairs Office, the Public Safety Office, and the Parking Management Office.

Parking regulations are strictly enforced and violators' vehicles are subject to immediate removal from the campus at the owner's expense. Please obey campus-parking rules at all times.

Amendments to Spelman College
2002-2003 Parking Rules And Regulations

The following amendments have been approved by the Executive Council in support of expanding student and visitor parking options. These amendments are effective as of January 13, 2003 .

Student Parking

  1. Vehicles with current Spelman Commuter Decals shall be permitted to utilize marked parking spaces on a first come basis between 5:30pm - 7:00am Monday - Thursday at no cost in the following parking areas: LLC I, Giles, and Morehouse James.
  2. Vehicles with current Spelman Commuter, or Resident Decals shall be permitted to utilize marked parking spaces on a first come basis between 5:30pm Friday - 7:00am Monday at no cost in the following parking areas: LLC - I, Giles, and Morehouse James.

These options are subject to strict enforcement that may include vehicles being posted with violation notices, or towed at the owner's expense!

These options may be suspended at any time in support of special programs or activities sponsored by the College. Should suspension of these options be necessary every reasonable effort will be made to provide the community with advance notice.

Visitor Parking

  1. Non-Student visitors attending or participating in College sponsored programs or activities may utilize campus surface parking at no cost weekdays after 5:30pm and on weekends.
  2. The Continuing Education Department is authorized when needed, to designate a maximum of three reserved spaces adjacent to LLC - II, and or Cosby in support of programs conducted by organizations renting College conference facilities.
