Freedom of Association

Each Spelman student is free to organize and join associations, which promote common interests and is encouraged to do so. Student organizations may register with the Office of Student Activities to take advantage of College facilities and services. The College may deny registration to any associated groups or withdraw registration to any student organization that functions counter to the College's rules, regulations, policy and procedures, or mission.

Freedom of Inquiry and Expression

Students are free to examine and discuss all questions of interest to them and to express opinions publicly and privately. They may support causes by orderly means, including any means of peaceful assembly or advocacy that do not infringe upon the rights or freedoms of others.
