MLK 2010 FACT SHEET and SERVICE DESCRIPTION
Join Spelman College on Monday, January 18, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. as we engage volunteers in service in the areas of Health & Wellness, Environmental Sustainability, Economic Development and Education. The theme this year, You Are What You Do: change your community, change yourself, challenges volunteers to change their communities and themselves through acts of service. The College’s day of service will culminate through a ceremony, where everyone will be asked to share their personal statements of belief.
Service activities will range from painting canvas art to be donated to local hospitals in the Atlanta area and creating gift baskets for homebound seniors.
Come Join the Fun! SNACKS WILL BE PROVIDED.
