As of 2005, This I Believe became a weekly series on NPR which invites individuals to write short essays about the core beliefs that guide their daily life.

- Historical Tour of West End – The West End Historic District lies in the southwest quadrant of Atlanta in the area known as West End. A lot of residents are drawn by the fact that this is the oldest place in Atlanta and a mecca for green movement activists, unfortunately, not many know of the treasures West End holds. Spelman will give a free tour to local residents of the West End.
- Tool Bank: House Repair Project – The ToolBank HouseProud program provides no-cost repairs to low-income senior and /or disabled homeowners living in ten downtown Atlanta neighborhoods. The primary goal of HouseProud is to keep homeowners warm, safe and dry in their existing homes. Volunteers will be needed to paint and help beautify a home in the surrounding community.
- Children’s Museum of Atlanta - Every MLK Day, the Children’s Museum of Atlanta receives over 300 visitors. 20 volunteers are needed to help children in making craft projects.
