Test-taking Tips
- Try to do your best work on all tests that you take. Approach each test with a sense of seriousness.
- Bring to the test session two no. 2 pencils, a watch and, if required, the appropriate form of identification.
- Arrive at the site of test several minutes before the test is scheduled to begin. This will give you time to become composed and organized.
- Be sure that you fully understand the test directions before attempting to answer any questions.
- Determine whether there is a penalty for guessing. If there is not, be sure to answer every question on the test.
- Budget your time during the examination. Do not spend too much time on any one question. Divide the available time to fit the number and types of questions on the test.
- Answer easy questions first. If you encounter a question that you can't answer, leave it and return to it later.
- Proofread your answers. Recheck to ensure that your answer numbers agree with the question numbers.
Be sure that marks on answer sheets are dark and completely fill the spaces.
