Research Day 2011
Theme: Sustainable Spelman: From Personal to Global Perspectives
Jerry Wever, assistant professor of anthropology, Research Day co-chair
Dr. Mentewab Ayalew, assistant professor of biology, Research Day co-chair
"What would notions of sustainability mean in the social sciences, the arts and humanities, and the natural sciences?"
With this year's theme, we challenged students to explore how to expand the notion of 'sustainability' beyond the environment and 'going green.' Students were asked to consider how sustainability can impact their own discipline and their own research or scholarly work.
