New Spelman Website Update:

February Issue of Inside Spelman Explores Faith Ringgold Exhibition
Inside Spelman is back and better than ever. The February issue features plenty of news the Spelman community can use and enjoy. This month's issue offers readers a sneak peek inside the upcoming Museum of Fine Art exhibition featuring the politically charged 60's paintings of acclaimed artist Faith Ringgold.

Black Women's Health Series
Tackles Tough Issues
The holistic health of Black women is of critical importance today more than ever. On February 28, from 5:15 - 6:30 p.m., the Women's Research and Resource Center will host a talk titled, "College Women's Wellness: Midterms and Beyond." The second in a series of events designed to raise awareness and encourage healthy lifestyle choices, the talk will be presented by Xanthia Settle, R.N, M.P.H. and LaBrittany Davis, R.N.

Student Spotlight

Ariana Gibbs, C’2013, says she was profoundly affected by President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address which she witnessed with her family, who were members of the audience for the joint session of Congress on January 24. They attended as guests of Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS) and Congressmen Bennie Thompson (D-MS) and Gregg Harper (R-MS).
