2008 Founders Day Challenge
The Challenge Continues!
The Challenge officially launched on January 22, 2008 here in Atlanta. Additionally, the Annual Giving Winter Newsletter was mailed to all alumnae providing more details about the 2008 Challenge.
The Challenge officially ended on Wednesday,
April 2, 2008, during the Alumnae Rally.
Volunteers Needed!
As a volunteer for your class, state and/or affinity group you will correspond with alumnae via e-mail, phone and/or postal mail and talk about new initiatives happening on campus, share the importance of giving, and help raise alumnae participation to 100%! BECOME A VOLUNTEER TODAY !
The Affinity Groups!
This year, affinity groups will be segmented into three categories. When making your gift, please choose one (1) group from each category. The non-reunioning classes and states will also compete for highest participation rate. Alumnae can designate their gift so that it will be credited to more than one category.

The Challenge Results!
All affinity groups will compete for highest alumnae participation among their category. They will also participate for highest overall participation across the categories. Non-reunioning classes will compete for highest alumnae participation.
The Winners!
On Founders Day, Friday, April 11, 2008, the winners were recognized by President Dr. Beverly Daniel Tatum and the Spelman College Board of Trustees for their achievements during the 127th anniversary Birthday Party. Volunteers also received special recognition by Spelman College.
