Student Profile: Kamron Nicole Taylor, C'2015
Kamron Taylor, C’2015, has worked hard to solidify her place in the journalism industry. Taylor currently balances freelancing for CNN while working as a news reporter for CocoaFab.com.
During fall 2014, the English major worked with the Affiliate Content Center of CNN, where she was responsible for helping CNN gather content for broadcast and online affiliates spanning the United States and Guam.
Just weeks before that, she interned at CNN headquarters in Atlanta for CNN Wire/Newsource, a news distribution service for local affiliates. She curated national and local digital content for affiliate websites in over 70 different markets.
Her first internship in Atlanta was with WSB-TV/ABC, where she shadowed reporters, helped produce news packages and developed an independent intern newscast.
Kamron began working as a freshman. She was the youngest and only African-American intern to work for FOX in St. Louis, Missouri, in 2012. After graduation, she will begin working with the digital talent program of COX Media Group at WHIO, a CBS affiliate in Dayton, Ohio.
