Student Profiles: Ko Bragg, C'2015
Senior Ko Bragg Goes BOLD With Google
History major Ko Bragg, C’2015, is going BOLD with Google this summer. As a Google BOLD, or Building Opportunities for Leadership and Development intern in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Bragg hopes to shatter the glass ceiling while representing African-American women in technology.
As part of her internship, Bragg served as an associate account strategist in the Small and Medium Services department at Google. In her customer service role, Bragg helps small and medium businesses troubleshoot and optimize their advertising accounts to help acquire as many ads on Google and its partner sites as possible.
She also enforces Google’s policies, helping to determine what is and is not allowed per legal guidelines. Designed to provide exposure to the technology industry for students who are historically underrepresented in the field, the 11-week internship program provides personal and professional development programming, executive speakers, mentoring and community-building.
